It's a boy for Sarah Buxton! The 'Outside My Window' singer recently took to her official Twitter account to announce the birth of her first bundle of joy, baby Marshall.

"Tom and I are in love with our sweet baby boy, Marshall!" tweets the ecstatic new mother. "He came December 4th. My little Sagittarius."

Buxton wed her husband, famed Nashville guitarist Tom Bukovac, in November 2010 in a private Nashville ceremony. The new arrival is the first child for both talented musicians, who admit that time was everything when it came to welcoming baby boy Bukovac into the world.

“Thank God that He gives us nine months to prepare, because if it was any less than that, we would all go insane!” Buxton told Taste of Country just a few months into her pregnancy. ”Sometimes it’s like, ‘Let’s get this thing going!’ You really want the baby bump to show up, and you’re ready for everybody to see it … but there’s a lot of emotional things that have to happen before each little stage.”

Major life changes were in store for Buxton in her decision to begin a family -- including putting her own career on hold. The former Lyric Street recording artist is no longer pursuing a solo country music career, but continues to focus on her craft as a songwriter.

“I knew that touring wasn’t going to be something that I was personally going to be able to do and be the kind of mom I want to be," Buxton shares. "So I chose to go with songwriting, which was already something that I loved to do anyway."

Buxton's most recent chart successes include the Big & Rich hit 'That's Why I Pray,' as well as Keith Urban's 'Put You in a Song.' The esteemed songwriter is most recognized for penning Urban's 2006 Grammy Award-winning tune, 'Stupid Boy.'
