Safe Driving Tips When School’s Out
It seems like yesterday we were discussing driving safety tips when kids went back to school, like stopping for school buses flashing red lights. Now, drivers need to be extra careful when the kids are out for summer vacation.

According to our sister station, WIBX:
“In preparation for the season, AAA is urging drivers to watch the road more carefully than usual to avoid accidents with children.
Ed Welsh, General Manager of AAA New York’s Central Region, says motorists can prevent accidents by maintaining a 20 to 30 second visual lead while driving, being careful near ice cream trucks and watching for children in all areas, not just near playgrounds.
Welsh suggests parents teach their kids to not run into the street without looking and to always wear their helmet when riding a bike or roller skating.”
