Did Sacha Baron Cohen mean to knock a little old lady in a wheelchair off the stage at the 2013 Britannia Awards?  The crowd thought so.

While Cohen accepted the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy, he tripped and knocked 87-year-old, Grace Cullington, the oldest living actress, who worked with Charlie Chaplin, off the stage.

Cullington presented Cohen with a cane used by Chaplin in the movie 'City Lights.' When Cohen attempted to walk with it, he fell onto Cullington's wheelchair and sent her face-first into the audience.

It took several minutes for the horrified crowd to realize it was a joke.

Funny or just plain cruel? I'll admit, it made be gasp in shock and I knew it was a joke.
