One family will have a Merrier Christmas thanks to the kindness of one man. Rome Police Officer Aaron Page saved Christmas after a vehicle full of gifts was robbed.

Officer Page was called to investigate the theft at the home of Roger Mosher and his girlfriend Jennier VanBenschoten. After realizing the Grinch stole presents meant for 7 children, he took Mosher shopping to replace most of the gifts.

It's an awesome feeling. People praise me for what I did but you can't get that feeling anywhere else.

"Seeing the devastation on their face, I went outside of being a cop and thought what could I possibly do," says Page.

Mosher collected the gifts that were stolen as Officer Page kept telling him "you can get more." The only item not replaced was a used Xbox 360 that a friend donated.

The generous gift by Officer Page was made possible through the Bobby Page Memorial Foundation, set up to honor Officer Page's brother who passed away 10 years ago tomorrow of skin cancer. "It's an awesome feeling. People praise me for what I did but you can't get that feeling anywhere else. I'm lucky to have a brother who was so loved that a foundation in his name is so successful."

Mosher knows he's lucky one, to have Officer Page be the one called to the scene. "We went from a night of sadness to a day of pure happiness." Mosher's first concern was his kids Christmas, but a Craftsman drill set, Mosher's tools and a coat he bought for Jennifer were also stolen.

Through tears Mosher says if it wasn't for Officer Page his kids would have nothing this Christmas. "Thank you. You're the hero of this family."

Officer Page, you're the hero of the entire community.
