Over 200 runners and walkers joined the American Heart Association to fight against heart disease and stroke at the Rome Run & Indoor Walk. This year the event was able to raise over $23,000.

This years event offered different walk courses to attract different types of walkers, from the person who would like a leisurely walk, there was an indoor oval track and for the more avid walker, there were challenging courses around the school. According to the Rome Daily Sentinel, even runners were offered an outdoor 5K.

Your next chance to raise money for Heart Health is this weekend with America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk on Saturday, March 3rd. There is still time to register.
