With the heavy snowfall, strong winds and power outages in the City of Rome, Mayor Izzo has declared a State of Emergency and a Snow Emergency as of 11 a.m. this morning.

Mayor Izzo and Rome officials are asking residents to have all vehicles off city streets by 1:00 p.m. today(Friday March, 2).

Rome residents are asked not to travel unless absolutely necessary between 6 p.m. tonight and 6 a.m. tomorrow morning to allow plows to take care of the snow without being hindered by stuck vehicles.
