Rise In Coffee Prices Brewing

The cost of your morning caffeine jolt is about to go up according to a report from MSN Money . The report states that Starbucks is raising its bagged coffee prices by some 17% with Dunkin Donuts and Folgers upping their whole bean coffees by 11%. The reasons for the hike?
Harvests of high-grade arabica beans were bad in Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico and Vietnam. At the same time, there is a growing taste for upmarket coffee in China, Brazil, India and Indonesia.
Caffeine may not have the physically addictive quality of, say, tobacco but its psychological impact cannot be denied.
