Redneck Rides- Check Out Dave’s 2000 Chevy Cavalier

There are a ton of Redneck Rides all over Central New York. We want to spotlight some of the best! I figured I'd start this series off with my very own pile of junk on wheels, my 2000 Chevy Cavalier. I like to call it the Blue Bullet!

The Chevrolet Cavalier was produced by General Motors from 1982 to 2005. The cars were produced in three different generations, and today's ride is from the third generation. These style cars were produced from 1995 - 2005.

The third-generation Cavalier earned several low scores in crash tests by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Also, IIHS fatality risks statistics rated the Cavalier among the "Highest rates of driver deaths," with 150 (4 door) to 171 (2 door) driver deaths per million registered vehicle years. Average for the Cavalier class (small) was 103 (4 door) to 134 (2 door) driver deaths per million registered vehicle years."
