Reba McEntire is set to release a music video for “Just Like Them Horses,” a song she cut to sing at her father’s funeral in 2014.

On Facebook, McEntire has begun a countdown that leads up to a Jan. 19 video release. Photos of open plains and horses bring in each subsequent number. “Just Like Them Horses” is found on her Love Somebody album. It’s not clear if the song will be released to radio as well, but McEntire previously said she was unsure if she would be able to perform the song live.

“It reminded me of Daddy, and I asked (songwriter Liz Hengber) if I could record it and play it at Daddy’s funeral because he had been sick for four or five years,” the redhead reveals.

“She had written it for a friend who was dying of cancer, and she couldn’t finish the song so she got Tommy Lee James to come in and write the music for it.”

McEntire wanted “Just Like Them Horses” to be a simple piano-only production for the service, but producer Tony Brown insisted it go on the album. Everyone agreed, so that’s what they did.

“Not long after we recorded it, daddy passed away,” McEntire admits. He was never able to hear the song.

Love Somebody was released in 2015 and was McEntire's first studio album of new music in five years. Thus far she's released two singles to radio, "Going Out Like That" and "Until They Don't Love You." The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums sales charts after its mid-April release.
