Polly’s 10 Predictions For 2013

As we look back on 2012 and look ahead to 2013, I put together 10 predictions for the New Year.

Country Music Explodes

USA Today is predicting a ‘country music stampede’ for the New Year.

Country music is set to dominate in 2013, with stadium shows by Swift, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney. There’s also a chance to see two of the genre’s legends — Country Music Hall of Famers George Jones and George Strait — one last time as they hit the road before hang up their touring boots.

It stands to reason 2013 will bring 4 more breakups with Taylor Swift and 8 more songs about it.

Keith Urban Shows His Soul

Keith Urban is coming out with new music in the New Year and I predict his new album will give fans what they’ve been waiting for; his soul. There’s been rumors his new music will focus on his time in rehab and his struggles to get his life back on track. I hope to hear more songs like ‘Tonight I Wanna Cry’ and ‘You’ll Think of Me.’

Kim & Kayne Break Up

Kim Kardashian is pregnant. On stage Kayne West made the official announcement.  I predict the two will have broken up before the baby is even born.  That, or Kayne will stop the doctor in the middle of childbirth to tell everyone ‘Beyonce had the most beautiful baby.’

Toby Keith Bar & Grill in Syracuse Opens

The Toby Keith Bar & Grill at Destiny USA was suppose to open last Spring.  Then it was pushed back to the Summer.  Then again to just before Christmas.  Despite the delays, I predict it will finally open its doors in 2013.

Brantley Gilbert & Jana Kramer Engaged

These two love birds, who just bought a house together, will become engaged.  It seems the most likely next step.

Royal Baby Overkill

With Kate Middleton and Prince William announcing the arrival of a new Royal Heir, I predict we’ll be so sick of hearing about the new baby before it’s even born.

Randy Travis Dries Out

After the year Randy Travis has had with all his DUI trouble, I predict he’ll finally get the help he needs and turns his life around for 2013.  At least I hope so.

Lindsay Lohan Hits Bottom

Will Lindsay Lohan ever learn?  They say you have to hit rock bottom before you realize how bad you are.  I don’t think Lindsay is there yet, but will be in 2013.  I just hope she doesn’t kill somebody in a drunk driving accident first.

The Year of Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan just keeps getting hotter and hotter.  Not his looks, although he’s easy on the eye, but his music.  He’s headlining his first tour and I predict he’ll beat both Jason Aldean and Blake Shelton next year at awards shows and in album sales.

Movie Remakes & Sequels

Hollywood has run out of original ideas.  I predict 2013 will just bring back more 80′s movies than you care to stomach and sequels to every movie that broke even at the box office.  See what’s in store at theaters in 2013.

Whatever the New Year brings, I hope it includes less violence and more random acts of kindness.
