State Police Investigating Fatal Accident On The Thruway

UPDATED 4:22 pm. - State Police are investigating a fatal tractor-trailer accident on the Thruway.

UPDATED 12:29 pm. 2/18/16- State Police have released the name of the driver who was killed in Wednesday's tractor-trailer crash on the Thruway in Schuyler.

37 year-old Travis Lambert was from Belleville, Ontario.

The truck is owned by CAT Incorporated of Coteau Du Lac, Quebec.

Troopers say Lambert drifted off the roadway, struck a guide rail and overturned.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

New York State Police are investigating an accident on the Thruway near the Utica exit.

It happened at around 8:30 this morning and involved a tractor-trailer.

Troopers say the driver of the tractor-trailer was killed in the crash.
