Plaxico Burress is a free man.  The former NY Giants wide receiver was released from the Oneida Correctional Facilty this morning after serving 20 months behind bars for an illegal weapons charge and reckless endangerment.  You may remember Plaxico was arrested after shooting himself in the leg at a NY nightclub.

WIBX reporter Jeff Monaski caught up with Burress in the parking lot this morning when he made a brief statement.  Looks like he's ready to get back on the gridiron.  He's been spending his time behind bars working out and getting ready to play football again.  Although I wouldn't be too quick to pick him up for your fantasy team this year.  He could still be a little rusty since he didn't have a quarterback in prison to throw to him.
