Earlier this year plans for a Golden Corral in Syracuse were scrapped when the franchise pulled out of the deal. Now it looks like those plans will see the light of day after all.

Syracuse.com is reporting that the company is set to open up a golden Corral at the same planned spot in Syracuse, but about 800 square feet smaller than originally planned.

The new plans also eliminate a franchise owner. Instead Golden Corral will open the store as a company-owned restaurant.

The restaurant chain will once again have to have approval from the city of Syracuse to move forward, but if all goes according to plan we could see a Golden Corral in Syracuse by the end of 2018.
