FrogFest Crowd First To Hear Rodney Atkins’ New Music [INTERVIEW]

Wild West FrogFest & Painted Pony Rodeo headliner Rodney Atkins has been busy working on a new album.  His latest "Take A Back Road" is the first song off the CD that he expects to have out sometime late summer.  He says the songs popularity has grown faster than anyone anticipated, which is a good thing, but now he's working hard to get the rest of the tracks cut for the album and get it out to his fans.  So, will he sing the new one at FrogFest?  Rodney's reply, "you better know it."

Rodney Atkins Featured At “Bama Rising” Concert [AUDIO]

Rodney Atkins is a busy guy. And a well traveled one these days. Last night Rodney joined a star studded benefit concert to raise money for tornado relief in storm ravaged Alabama.  Among those taking part were Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Montgomery Gentry and the shows hosts Alabama.  Rodney will be in Portland, Maine for a show Friday night before heading out to headline our Wild West Frogfest and Rodeo Saturday at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. CNY Girls Are Tearing Up CMA Fest [PHOTOS]

It's the big week in Nashville.  CMA Fest.  You can see, hear and meet almost any country artist you want.  Some you may have to wait longer for.  But most country artists from Reba McEntire, Shania Twain and Zac Brown to the upcomers can be found in Nashville this week.

Joanie Koons of Oriskany and three friends, Kate Nicoletta of New Hartford, Kandi Haas Floyd (Joanie's daughter) and Missy Jackson of Clark Mills are spending the week at CMA Fest.  Before leaving Joanie promised to keep us posted on what was going on in Nashville.  And by the looks of the pictures, the girls have been busy.

Brad Paisley wanted to make an album honoring country music.

His first hit, "This is Country Music" paid homage to the likes of George Jones, TammyWynette, John Denver and Johnny Cash.  Then he teamed up with Alabama for his second hit "Old Alabama."  And that's not his only duet on the new album. Carrie Underwood joins him for a soulful song on how the flame can go out in a relationship over time, called "Remind Me."   Couples who have been together a long time will relate to this song well.

Reba, Blake and Kenny Raise Thousands For Tornado Sticken Oklahoma and Alabama

Reba and Blake Shelton are giving back to their home state.  Their tornado relief concerts raised 500 thousand dollars for Oklahoma.  They played two sold-out shows last week, singing duets and providing harmony on each other's hits.  Their only solo numbers came during the encore, with Shelton going it alone for "Ol' Red" and Reba taking the spotlight for "Fancy."  Kelly Clarkson even stopped by for a special appearance on Thursday.

Brad Paisley Teams up With Alabama and NASCAR For “Old Alabama” Video

Brad Paisley brought back the sounds of Alabama with his new song "Old Alabama." In the video, he brings the back the band themselves.  See old concert footage with Brad digitally mixed in. And see them today, jamming out with Brad.

Brad debuted the video Saturday on the Speed Channel during "NASCAR Raceday." He was there for the premiere during the pre-race coverage of the NASCAR All-Star race. Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip and Rick Hendrick can also been seen in the video. Brad says if it wasn't for Rick Hendrick providing the driver's facilities to shoot the video, he probably wouldn't have been able to afford the shoot.
