Oxford English Dictionary Adds More Tech and “Street” Words

Never let it be said that the Oxford English Dictionary is resistant to change or behind the times. The February update edition is including a number of words that may heretofore have been understood only by “techies” and the “street smart” among us. Can you define “cruft”? “Dumbphone”? “Flexitarian”?
Cruft–Badly designed, unnecessarily complicated, or unwanted code or software
Dumbphone–A basic mobile phone that lacks the advanced functionality characteristic of a smartphone
Flexitarian–A person who has a primarily vegetarian diet but occasionally eats meat or fish
Touchless–Relating to or denoting technology that is operated by means of gestures rather than by touching a control or interface
Blootered–Very drunk
via Definition of blootered in Oxford Dictionaries (British & World English).
That’s probably a good place to stop. More new words and definitions can be found here.
