We experienced some real "yo-yo" like temperatures this winter, from record highs to record lows.  The USDA's Farm Service Agency says there's no doubt that the fluctuations damaged many trees and bushes.  Producers are eligible for financial assistance even if you don't have crop insurance.

Producers who suspect that their crops were damaged due to the severe weather may be eligible for assistance through two of our disaster programs. Anyone fearing crops damage are encouraged to contact our office immediately.

Donna Purdy County Executive Director for FSA says The Tree Assistance Program - (TAP) and Noninsured Crop Assistance Disaster Assistance Program - (NAP). Available assistance includes clean up, replacement or rehabilitation of trees, shrubs and vines.
