Zach Effrog, Big Frog 104, Townsquare Media

Last year at this time, I visited the Oneida County Public Market for the first time. Since it has expanded, I have not visited. Saturday was a nice day and I needed produce, so I decided to visit the public market once again. And, I'm glad I did. It has everything for every taste. There's, of course, fruits and vegetable and there's jewelry, bread, honey, cheese, meat, crafts and even fresh-squeezed lemonade. The Oneida County Public Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Utica's Union Station. Today, I would like to share with you my photos from my trip to the public market. This week's theme--The Oneida County Public Market.

Radishes and Onions

I bought some of these radishes and they were great. Yeah, I ate them all in one sitting.

There were many kinds of bread and different cookie flavors, too.

Jewelry

If you're looking for one-of-a-kind jewelry, the market is the place to go.

Lettuce

I bought some of this lettuce. I took home some of the purple kind--I forgot the technical name.

Honey

I really liked how these honey bottles were lined up. If you like honey, the Oneida County Public Market has plenty of it.

John Bosco House Micro Greens

These guys were from the John Boscco House selling hydroponically grown sprouts and greens. The John Bosco House is located in Utica. The organization is nonprofit and helps young men, 18-21, who are homeless. The organization offers a place to live and help to "get their lives on track," according to their brochure.
