It has been nicknamed  "The Little Grand Canyon," and it's said to have some of the most spectacular scenery in the Northeast. Ausable Chasm is one of the most visited attractions in the Adirondacks.

This wonder of nature features a 150-foot deep, one-mile long gorge filled with trails, rock climbing and river rafting.  You'll see 5 water falls, and rock formations.

One of the exciting things to try is a two-mile raft and tube ride through the lower canyon.  There's also 15-miles of mountain bike trails.  If you prefer a more calm visit, the rim and inner canyon walk is suggested.

A campground is also part of the Chasm, and includes cabins and an in-ground pool.  For the month's of July and August, this attraction is open everyday from 9:30am until 4:30pm.
