Maybe you've been dreaming of a white Christmas here in Central New York. Some cities have a better probability than others for snow on the ground each Christmas. One city in New York has amazing odds.

AccuWeather put together a list of the Top 5 major US cities with the highest probability for a white Christmas. Of that list, one New York City made the cut: Buffalo. Currently there is a 47 percent likelihood that Buffalo will have a white Christmas each and every year.

Buffalo has the highest December snowfall average on the list with 27.4 inches. The snowiest Christmas Day the city has seen in recorded history occurred in 2002 with a snowfall total of 8.4 inches."

Now, that's not saying the rest of Central New York wouldn't get hit with Lake Effect snow before Christmas, but if you're betting on a white Christmas, move to Buffalo.
