Old Farmer’s Almanac January Weather Predictions

We are in the early stages of the "Frog Days of Winter", and so far, not too bad. So, where do we go from here, weatherwise? Let's take a look at the Old Farmer's Almanac for preview of coming winter attractions.

According to the almanac for our region: the average temperature for January will be 28 degrees, four degrees warmer than normal. Jan. 5 - 7, sunny and mild; Jan. 8 - 12, snow showers and cold; Jan 13 - 17, sunny and mild; Jan. 18 - 23, snowstorm and then lake snows, cold; Jan. 24 - 31, snowstorm, then lake snows and very cold.
