I have one question: "Where did September go"? It flew by! With October here, let's take a look at how the weather will shape up for this new month.

To check the weather predictions for October, I will consult my usual source, "The Old Farmer's Almanac 2013". According to the Almanac, here's how the weather stacks up for central New York in October:

"Average temperature: 55 degrees (3 degrees above average)

Precipitation: 2" (0.5" below average)

Oct. 1 - 9: Thunderstorms, then sunny and turning very warm

Oct. 10 - 14: Rain, then sunny, mild

Oct. 15 - 22: Scattered showers, cool

Oct. 23 - 29: Sunny, mild

Oct. 30 - 31: Heavy Rain"

Let's hope that heavy rain ends on October 30th, so we have a nice Halloween on the 31st!
