Norman Schwarzkopf Dead At 78

Retired General Norman Schwarzkopf died Thursday at his home in Tampa, Florida after battling a long illness. Schwarzkopf, a highly decorated veteran, became famous during the first Persian Gulf War as commander of Operating Desert Storm in 1991. He also played an integral role in the removal of Iraqi forces from Kuwait in 1990. Read more on Schwarzkopf here.
