Imaging thinking you hit a $42.9 million jackpot only to be told you didn't win anything due to a slot machine malfunction. It happened to Katrina Bookman at Resorts World Casino in New York City.

Bookman took a jackpot selfie in late August after thinking she hit it big. She was told the next day she didn't actually win due to a malfunction with the machine, but they did offer her a steak dinner instead. Really!?

Bookman tells ABC 7 she plans to sue the casino and her attorney Alan Ripka says "they win and the house doesn't want to pay out. To me that's unfair. The machine takes your money when you lose. It ought to pay it when you win."

The money Bookman thought she won was going towards a "barber shop for her son and a big chunk was to be given back to her community."

The New York State Gaming Commission pulled the malfunctioned machine to fix it and it's back on the floor. Would anyone want to play it now though?
