New Year’s Resolutions That Can Save You Money
Let's face it, all over Facebook and Twitter we've seen the "New Year New Me" photos and resolutions. Instead of setting crazy goals for the year, start with saving a lot of money. Here's a few different New Year's resolutions that can save you a lot of money.
1) Be Careful Of Your Booze Intake
The occasional night out with the guys or girls isn't a problem. If you make a habit out of the bar though, get ready to lose a lot of cash.
Consuming alcoholic beverages in public venues can be quite costly, particularly if you go when it’s not happy hour. And let’s not even consider what getting a DUI could cost you."
Credit.com reports if you cut back on the bar trips you could save $180 to $15,000.
2) Plan Your Meals
If you're like me, you love deciding your meals on a fly. However, this meal plan can be dangerous on your health and wallet. Make a grocery list for the week by planning your meals around the sales and coupons that are available. You can start saving up some major bank, maybe even about $1000 a year or so.
3) Develop A Spending Plan
Don't just spend money without watching what you're spending. If you set up a spending plan, it's like making a budget for your fun money and savings. It's a win win because if you follow it, you'll end up saving money and watching what you're spending. Sometimes looking at the receipts a little closer, will get you to stop spending so much.
