New Survey Says Many Bored With Facebook
It’s a given that Facebook is by far the most popular social networking site with nearly 700 million users worldwide. However according to a new Reuters/Ipsos survey over one third of those asked reported they spend less time on Facebook now than they did six months ago. Why the lessening of time spent on the site?
The reason given for using Facebook less wasn’t that their regular lives are now awesome, it’s that they now find Facebook “boring,” “not relevant,” or “not useful.”
Personally, I could care less that a “friend” I hardly know is going to the store for some cookies . And who needs to read their latest political rant. However it must be noted that 20% of the people surveyed spend more time of Facebook than they did 6 months ago, most of these being in the 18-34 age group.
