New Music Monday – Jake Owen vs Kelly Clarkson [AUDIO]

Our New Music Monday feature took a day off to salute the troops and enjoy some back yard grillin'.  This week's feature pits Jake Owen's 'The One That Got Away' against pop star - turned country, Kelly Clarkson's 'Mr Know it All.'  Give the two songs a listen and vote for your favorite at the bottom, we'll feature your pick on the "Drive at 5" this afternoon.

The newly married, Jake Owen has released a third song from his "Barefoot Blue Jean Night," called "The One That Got Away."  Jake, who co-wrote the song, says it's a page from his life growing up in Vero Beach, FL.  In an article on Taste of Country.com, the story goes that every summer girls would come to the tourist town and hook up with local guys, then leave never to be heard from again.

Kelly Clarkson's song, "Mr. Know It All" has traveled a backward path to appear in country music.  Most frequently songs go from country to pop, while this tune was a number one hit last summer in pop music.  Kelly along with country producer, Dan Huff have recorded a country version of the song.  She says the song has a double meaning, a bad relationship from the past, and all the music critics that have panned her work.
