It's hard to believe that almost a year has passed since our last Big Frog 104 Wildwest Frogfest & Painted Pony Rodeo. And although I haven't been a part of as many Frogfests as Matt Herkimer (Who has? He's been at every single one!), I have participated in several.

So, if you've never been, what can you expect? First, you'll get a chance to see something we don't often see in these parts...an authentic rodeo presented by Painted Pony Rodeo. And for those who attended last year's event at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, the rodeo has an expanded arena area this year.

And, when the Frogfest stage opens up at 2 p.m., you'll see some of the top local and regional country bands and performers. Of course, Josh Thompson takes to the stage at five, and Easton Corbin at six p.m. In between, it's just a fun-filled atmosphere of family entertainment.

There's food, alcoholic and non-alcloholic beverages, vendor booths with all sorts of merchandise, things for kids to do and more. Plus, you'll see a lot of neighbors and friends in the crowd and enjoy the sights and sounds. It's a music festival plus...and with that rodeo to kick things off, people really get charged up for a full day of country at its best.

First time at Frogfest? Well, if you attend this year, it definitely won't be your last.
