Someone is giving away money to anyone who can find it. A mystery millionaire, who goes by the Twitter name @HiddenCash, is hiding cash-filled envelopes around San Francisco. Clues to where the money is, are given on Twitter.

Why is this anonymous person hiding money? They wrote a letter to The Bold Italic to explain:

'I've made millions of dollars the last few years, more than I ever imagined, and yet many friends of mine, and people who work for me, cannot afford to buy a modest home in the Bay Area. This has caused me quite a bit of reflection. I am determined to give away some of the money I make, and in addition to charity, to do it in fun, creative ways like this. This is my way of giving back to the community and also having fun.'

Some people who've been lucky enough to find the cash are paying it forward by sharing it with others.

Hidden Cash will continue hiding money 'with no end in sight,' according to The Bold Italic. The goal is have the campaign go global and see others to follow the trend.

It's not just happening in San Francisco either. The money is moving to San Jose and possibly L.A. next week.

Now if we could just get those envelopes to appear in Central New York.
