My Summer Reading List

The "Frog Days Of Summer" are here, and vacations are just around the corner. I don't know about you, but every year when we go away on vacation, I always bring plenty of books and magazines to read on the beach. We all have different tastes, so I don't expect that you will be reading what I am.

Having said that, here's my summer reading list for vacation 2012:

Magazines: Sports Illustrated , NFL Football Preview 2012 , College Football Preview 2012

Before I mention the books I'm taking with me this year, I have to note that my wife and family get me books that I ask for on my birthday, Christmas and such, and I have several that I haven't even cracked open yet. I've decided to take two at the most, so I don't have to lug a dozen hardcover books to the beach every day.

Books:

Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero by Chris Matthews (We are going to Cape Cod, after all).

How I Got This Way - by Regis Philbin (Reeg is always good company).

My all-time favorite beach book...Big Russ & Me -Father And Son: Lessons Of Life, by the late Tim Russert of NBC's "Meet The Press". It's funny, interesting, inspirational, and Utica even gets mentioned half way through the book.

Book reports will not be required in September.
