Mt Markham Assistant Football Coach Charged With Rape

Fritz M. Barret, a volunteer assistant football coach at Mt Markham high school has been charged with rape.  The 24 year-old was arraigned and sent to the Oneida County jail.

Anyone with information, or other potential victims are asked to contact the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center at (315) 732-3990.  The center is assisting police in their ongoing investigation and providing counseling for the victim.

In addition to the second degree felony rape charge, Barret is also facing a misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child.
