Calling it an "Ambitious 2017 Schedule," the Utica Rome Speedway will be bringing lots of new things to the storied tack this year.  In addition to a new Motocross track and a Kart track that is under construction, the speedway is bringing an earlier start to the season and a chance for you to hit the famed dirt oval.

Before dropping the flag on the season, Utica Rome announced they will be returning to the DIRTcar group for weekly sanctioning.  The track will also have one of the earliest races in New York with the Chill Factor 40 for DIRTcar Modifieds on April 2.  The official season will begin two weeks later on April 23.

New at Utica Rome Speedway in 2017

Motocross:  "A course has been built behind the upper pit area off of turns one and two." Three race dates have been set, June 11, September 17 and October 15. Practice dates will be announced prior to racing.

Kart Racing:   This is currently a work in progress.  The kart track "is in the stages of being built in the infield," track officials hope to have it completed by spring with a schedule of events to be announced closer to that time.

Kenny Wallace Driving Experience: Here's your chance to get a real life experience on the track driving a car.  As a guy that has tried this, it's not short on thrills.  Two dates are slated; May 13 and August 12.

If all of those events and Sunday night racing won't keep your calendar booked, Utica Rome Speedway will also bring back a truck-pull night on August 25 and they're working on tractor-pull.  Get more information on what's new for 2017 at Utica Rome Speedway.com or call 315-829-4557
