As we draw closer to the Christmas holiday we hear our favorite holiday songs over and over again. In some cases we hear them over and over and over and over again. ASCAP, the music publishing organization, has released its list of the most played holiday songs so far this year. Since October 1 the most played has been—are you ready–“Sleigh Ride” written by Leroy Anderson on a hot July day back in 1946.
