Yesterday we gave you some classic pictures of Rome, New York from the 1900's, and we've just discovered another treasure thanks to Peter Leonard, and Roman Empire Productions.

From White's Hotel, to Perry & Company, The Copper City looked like an exciting place to live in the early 1900's. Do you remember United Chemists and United Cigars? How about the Patriotic Bloomer Girls? White's Hotel, Camp Huntington, and Shue's Music store all help us to recount some of our ancestor's favorite memories.

Some of the businesses featured in the video have some funny names;  Rome Sanitary Barber Shop is probably one of our favorites. Would we have it any other way? Lol. Also, why is it that old time stores and businesses often contain a middle initial? Harry G. Lake, and James A. Spargo Wire Company are both prime examples.

Wouldn't it be neat to travel back in time for couple of days to see what life was like minus smart phones, drones, and Facebook?
