We went from a Winter Storm Watch to Winter Storm Warning and now total snowfall predictions are increasing to 18 inches in some locations and up to 12 inches for most of Central New York. Here's where to expect the heaviest amounts.

The National Weather Sevice says 1 - 2 inches of snow per hour will be possible during the heaviest periods. Later in the afternoon, strong winds will add blowing and drifting snow concerns. It's a wet snow, great for building snowmen, but not so good for week limbs and trees.
