More rain in the forecast may bring more flooding to central New York. The National Weather Service has Oneida and Onondaga counties including Syracuse, Hamilton, Oneida, Rome, Utica, Norwich, and Owego under a Flash Flood Watch.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue today, Thursday July 13th. Heavy rain and thunderstorms may result in flash flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas, as well as places that have already received flooding in recent days.

Heavy rain brought massive flooding to central New York July 2nd. Roads were washed out. Creeks overflowed and homes were lost. Sinkholes left Route 233 at 12 B closed indefinitely.

Lets hope Mother Nature is a little nicer this time around. Central New York has dealt with enough weather problems this year.
