Montgomery Gentry Working With MLB on “My Dad, My MVP”

Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry will be joined by a host of current major league baseball players and executives on a panel to select the winners of an MLB online contest called “My Dad, My MVP”. It is part of a Father’s Day celebration to honor the father figures in baseball fans lives in every major league ballpark. The details can be found at “My Dad, My MVP”. The voting began on May 11th and will continue through June 1.According to their website Eddie and Troy will also perform at a special post-game concert on Father’s Day, June 19 at Atlanta’s Turner Field following the Atlanta Braves-Texas Rangers game. It is part of an on-going effort by the duo to raise awareness of prostate cancer, a disease Eddie fought successfully last year.
Troy and Eddie will be appearing at the Turning Stone Event Center August 1.
