Monday Night Football won't be the same.  After 23 years, Hank Williams' Jr. 'Are You Ready For Some Football' anthem is done.  ESPN and Williams have parted way.  Who was the first to leave?  It depends who you ask.  ESPN says they decided 'to part ways,' while Williams claims he 'pulled his opening' theme for the rest of the season.

ESPN released a statement on thier website, saying  ' We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue.'  While on Williams' website, he claims, 'After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”

The 'Monday Night Football' theme was pulled last week after Williams' comments on Fox News 'Fox & Friends.'  Willaims compared President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner’s recent golf outing to “Hitler playing golf with [Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu.  Watch the event unfold below along with the behind the scene shoot of his latest video for this season.

Whoever left the party first doesn't matter.  The party just won't be the same.
