Mohawk Valley Red Cross Honoring Real Heroes

It takes heart to be a hero and the American Red Cross of the Mohawk Valley wants to put local heroes in the spotlight.

The Real Heroes Breakfast recognizes residents from Oneida, Herkimer, Otsego and Delaware counties who have performed heroic acts in life-threatening situations.

There are 12 categories: Adult Good Samaritan, Animal Rescue, Blood Donor, Mary Haggerty Education, Fire Rescue, Kurt Wyman Law Enforcement, Industrial Safety, Medical, Military, Youth Good Samaritan, 9-1-1 Dispatch and Michael Cianfrocco Humanitarian of the Year.
