Millions Shovel, Play, Snowboard in Historic Snow Storm Jonas [PHOTOS + VIDEOS]
The winter storm people will be talking about for years, dumped up to 3 feet of snow, cancelled thousands of flights and knocked out power across the country. Travel bans were in place throughout several states. Broadway shows in New York City were dark and streets were deserted as the path of the storm affected 80 million people.
30 inches of snow fell in areas of Washington, DC and parts of West Virginia saw 40 inches. New York City barely missed the record of 26.9 inches with 26.8.
While most spent Sunday digging out from under the historic storm, others found a way to make the best of a bad situation. From a panda playing in the snow to a snowboarder being towed by the NYPD.
Tian Tian woke up to a lot of snow at the Smithsonian National Zoo and he was pretty excited about it.
Not everyone was as excited to see the show. This little dog wanted nothing to do with the white stuff.
