Michael Ray fell in love over the weekend. He was in Chicago performing at the LakeShake Music Festival when he met Wrigley, a blue-eyed, all white Husky/Shepard mix puppy — and it was over from that point.

The dog charmed her way into Ray's heart, and he knew he couldn't — and wouldn't — leave Chicago without her. Local animal shelter Paws Chicago was on hand at the event, invited by headliner Miranda Lambert who also had an area set up for fans to fill with food and supplies that a local shelter might need as part of her Little Red Wagon initiative.

The shelter brought several puppies with them in hopes that the dogs would find homes at LakeShake. As a result, lucky girl Wrigley found her permanent home with the "Get to You" singer.

"It's funny how we go into shoot something with Paws and I end up falling in love with one of their beautiful dogs," Ray says in a video posted to Facebook. "Thank you Paws for making this meeting happen. She's going to be very loved and very well taken care of."

The singer also introduced his new puppy to fans on Instagram, writing a heartfelt message about her. "Last Saturday we played @lakeshakefest in one of my favorite cities in the world Chicago," he says. "I walked out of my trailer to meet the awesome ppl of @pawschicago who were surrounded by the sweetest bunch of puppies up for adoption and I fell in love with this beautiful blue eyed all white Husky/Shepard mix after hanging out with her all day, I couldn't leave without her."

"So Fam I want you all to meet the new Member of the Family Lou's new sister WRIGLEY!!!!! Thank you @pawschicago for being so incredible and introducing me to this beauty."
