Merle Haggard On Today’s Classic Double

I usually like to save "Working Man Blues" by Merle Haggard for Labor Day's "Country Classic Double", but on this day back in 1969, the song entered the country charts on its way to number one. And to be fair, I'm sure if that song were recorded today it would include the working woman too.
