I got a short experience at living out west in Arizona a few years ago, and one of the most interesting things was the real-life-working cowboys.  We got to meet two of those cowboys who will be at Wild West Frogfest and Rodeo June 18 at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds.  Let us introduce, Jake Spordert and Will Rogers (and yes he's tired of the jokes and has heard them all).Jake was a working cowboy in Cave Creek, AZ when the rodeo came calling.

Will and Jake travel together a lot during the rodeo season, and he also hails from Arizona, Laveen not far from Cave Creek.  Will says he was actually a boxer before going the bull riding route, and getting hooked by a bull hurts a lot more than catching a left hook to the face.  You can follow Will on Twitter.

Another traveler from west the coming to Wild West Frogfest and Rodeo is the announcer.  Jeff Olin is from Cody, Wyoming and follows east with rodeo circuit for the summer.  Jeff gives us a rundown of what we can expect to see.

All the rodeo action and Nashville star, Rodney Atkins starring on the stage for 18 bucks, kids 10 and under are free.

Frog Fest and Rodeo:  Saturday June 18, 12pm at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, 135 Cemetery Road, Frankfort.  Tickets $18, purchase at the gate, any area Price Chopper, at the Townsquare Media studios at 9418 River Road in Marcy and online here.
