A girl’s letter to Rome Police Officer Hollie Kennedy is not only affecting Kennedy, but everyone who reads it. But who is this girl that's touching hearts? She's 13 year-old Bri Wheeler.

Bri handed the note to Officer Kennedy, who was on her way to work. “She puts a note in my hand, waves goodbye and just runs off to home,” says Kennedy.

I know she was going through a lot so I just wanted to make her day

The note was a thank you from Bri who hopes to be just like Officer Kennedy one day. “Thank You for taking care of us and keeping us safe. You risk your life for us and I pray every night you guys stay safe,” she writes.

It wasn't one thing the officer did that made Bri write the note, it was just her way of making a difference. "I know she was going through a lot so I just wanted to make her day."

Make her day she did. "It felt so good to hear her say that, especially when I’d never really met her before,” says Officer Kennedy.

The two are strangers no more. "Now we're best friends I guess, from that letter," says Bri.

The Rome teen is sure to be on Santa's nice list after such a kind gesture. What does she want for Christmas? "Just to spend time with my family. I'm not really asking for anything for Christmas," she says.

It's hard to believe Bri is only 13 years-old. Her parents should be proud of raising a such mature young lady who just may be the one keeping us all safe one day.
