While we celebrate Columbus Day, in Canada it's Thanksgiving. Tad and Polly travel north to celebrate in this episode of ‘Married With Microphones.‘

The most common question asked about Canadian Thanksgiving is 'What do you eat?' Beaver? Moose?  Take a look at a Canadian Thanksgiving spread and see...

Despite what you may think, Canadian Thanksgiving is really no different than turkey day in the states. It’s just a month earlier.

What's eaten for Canadian Thanksgiving is just one of many misconceptions.

Canadian Thanksgiving Misconception

-We don’t all gather around the table in our igloo. Our houses look just like yours

-We don’t strap on the skates to play hockey on the back pond. We’re too stuffed to move after all that turkey. We did sit around a fire in the backyard

-We do drink a lot of Canadian beer eh, but you have to get your ‘two-four’ ahead of time since beer can only be purchased at the Beer Store, which is closed on Thanksgiving

-You won’t be pulled over by the Canadian Mounted police on horseback if you drink and drive. Believe it or not, we have real cop cars

-If we decide to walk off all that turkey, we don’t put on a hat. We use a toque, and only if it’s colder than 10 below

-We start making our plans for Halloween by creating a costume that will fit over our snowsuit
