Married With Microphones – Florida Vacation Includes Mardi Gras Fireworks and Golfing [PHOTOS + VIDEO]
There was no sun tanning or swimming while on vacation, but at least we weren't shoveling snow or getting up at 3am. In this episode of Married With Microphones, take a trip to Florida where Tad & I managed to fit in a few days of golf, a night of fireworks and lots of laying around.
The night we arrived in Panama City Beach, they were celebrating Mardi Gras and we caught the fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico. It was a nice way to kick off our vacation.
Golfing
The cooler temperatures only allowed us to play golf twice, but we did get to take on the Jack Nicholas designed course. Not a good idea when you haven't played since last September. Someone finished the round with a score of 96 while someone else hit triple digits. We won't mention who scored what...
Pier Park
On the cooler days, we toured Pier Park, filled with unique stores, including Peace Frogs. At one point we thought we were in Nashville. Who knew there was a Tootsie's in Panama City Beach.
Spinnaker Beach Club
Since we were so close, we had to go to Spinnaker Beach Club, the place Luke Bryan has his Spring Break concert each year. It was 'Little Black Dress' night with free champagne for the ladies and the first night it was open for the season. Talk about timing since we left the next day. This year marks Bryan's last year for his beach party. Just look at all those people!
Random Act of Kindness
On one of our many trips down the main strip, Tad stopped into a gas station to pick up a soda. He came back with a coke and a note on a dollar bill that he found in the cooler. We'll have to find a way to pay it forward.
