Mariotti had planned to make it back for the holidays but after $2,500 worth of military gear was stolen from him, those plans changed. "I was scared to call my mom and my family to tell them I wasn't coming home."

When Mariotti got word of this kindness he was dumbfounded. "I didn't know what to say. When I got the text from my mom I kept reading it over and over, thinking I wasn't reading it correctly."

Words don't seem to be enough but Mariotti wants to find this stranger so he can thank him in person. "I can't thank him enough. You don't hear about nice people doing kind things. I look forward to meeting this man, shaking his hand and sitting down to talk with him when I get home."
