Making Major Purchases in 2013

While the economy continues on a sluggish upward trend overall consumer confidence in December dropped. The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index reported “The percentage of consumers expecting business conditions to improve over the next six months declined to 17.6 percent from 21.3 percent.” Still many of us will be making a major, big ticket item purchase in 2013. What is considered to be major?
Here are a few examples:
–House
–Car or boat
–Major appliances
–Luxury vacation
–Home Theater
There is no specific dollar amount attached to the “big ticket item” definition but if you have to budget for it it probably qualifies.
