Maine TV News Anchors Resign on Air

Many of us probably dream of going out “in style” at our workplace.  Johnny Paycheck had “Take This Job and Shove It” and Johnny Cash wanted to have a  word with “Oney” when he left.  These TV News anchors in Bangor, Maine did it life on air.  Check out the video.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Cindy Michaels and Tony Consiglio had issues with station management and how their jobs had changed over the past 6 years.  They kept their plans secret so they could say goodbye to their viewers.

There was a constant disrespecting and belittling of staff and we both felt there was a lack of knowledge from ownership and upper management in running a newsroom to the extent that I was not allowed to structure and direct them professionally
