Macy’s To Open At Midnight “Black Friday”

In yet another example of how the sluggish economy is affecting business Macy’s has announced it will open its stores at midnight for the first time on “Black Friday” November 25. The announcement follows hot on the heels of fellow retailers Target and Kohl’s revealing plans to do the same thing, again, for the first time.A spokesperson for Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren said that the early opening is a response to customer requests,
“This year, in response to our customers’ eagerness to shop early for great deals, Macy’s stores across the country will open for the first time at midnight following Thanksgiving, giving customers the opportunity to get a head start on our extraordinary Black Friday deals.”
