It's amazing the things you see when you get lost. Tad & I discovered a road that wasn't even a road, camels and a goat giving birth while lost in the Midwest.

There are a lot of open fields in Illinois and we may have driven through one thanks to the GPS. It wasn't until we hit what looked like a dried out creek that we decided to turn around.

After we got back onto the gravel road, we turned a corner and came across a goat giving birth. One baby was already born while the other popped out when we stopped. Who knew baby goats came out and just started hopping around.

Goat Gives Birth

If that wasn't crazy enough, we turned another corner in the middle of nowhere and voila, 3 camels. Ironically it was even Hump Day.

Camels on Hump Day

There may be more fields and animals in small town Illinois than people, but on Thursday's you'll find them all at the only restaurant in town. Tad & I found out the hard way when we decided to go out for dinner. The line was out the door. When Tad asked what the attraction was, a woman in line replied 'pork chops.' They must be some amazing pork chops.

Illinois is also home to trains, lots and lots of trains. I can't remember the last time I had to wait for one.
